Another Use for Vitamin C?

Thanks for sharing Dr. Riordan's VERY important work on IV vitamin C with me/us. One question...I have a patient with cancer and lupus...she has compromised kidneys with her lupus. I have suggested that she start on your oral detox program immediately...but how about IV vitamin C too? How would I (and her medical MD) determine if she can tolerate IV vitamin C treatments without endangering renal function?

Dear Doctor:
I consider that I am having such total success in dealing with impaired renal function with things like Matrix Metallo Proteinase inhibitors (Rutosid, as only found in Wobenzym or Endozym). Also things like Calcium EDTA administered the many ways I stress in this discussion group certainly is a must.

She has to use Beyond Clean daily, 4 tablespoons of EDTA in the tub and SOAK using alternately some baking soda, then Vinegar, then Epsom salts as described on the label on this large jar of pure food grade EDTA. It remarkably restores DERMAL detoxification, thus helping spare the kidney, and by eliminating the metals otherwise found in HIGH concentration in all skin. She can now safely spend time, like 10 minutes daily in sun in only a swimsuit at most, to get the 20,000 units of Vit D that the sun makes safely. As the metals were catalyzing the free radicals that were behind the photo aging, she must start very slowly in case she sees any untoward reaction to sun as some may due to other considerations.

Then the new RNA Products will make your treatment far more effective. The HEALTHY FOUNDATION simply down regulates the inflammation and this is key to success. Of course this patient is stressed out over her condition so we must down regulate all the cortisol receptors with the Stress Foundation NutriSwitch formula, 1 cc of each twice daily with or without food. It is NOT essential to hold under the tongue (as the autism children cannot comply initially yet they all respond) but since these cost $100 a bottle I still have people hold it for 1-2 minutes. It's okay to use them together.

The protocols listed in HEEL book will be useful for the kidney, i.e. things like RENEEL and Apis Homaccord to help maintain and improve renal function. Also there are various products in their great collection of homeopathics that are more specific for her lupus. You can read about them in their Practitioners Handbook of Homotoxicology that every office needs for these complex conditions.

The high dose C has never caused a reported problem with the kidney to my knowledge. If you read all I have said in the past year in this discussion group by using the search feature (this requires you to sign up FREE as a member of YAHOO to use this search feature for everything I have written to this group on this or other topics) then you will see that NEJM has shown that kidneys are helped with 1 GM of Calcium EDTA. Since this is a sick patient you could give 1/2 gm initially diluted in water and take 5-10 minutes the first time. Over time this would be safely given WITH THE IV vitamin C and, of course, as I am proud to repeatedly announce to the world on this discussion group, the Beyond vitamin C formula that I helped to formulate (also sold as Vitality C). It has been found so effective that one cancer clinic is now relying largely on the ORAL in place of the IV Vitamin C they had always believed would be essential to provide serious benefits to their cancer patients. You get 4 Gm per heaping tsp of Vitamin C and then all the other important parts of the formulation that have permitted the far higher blood levels of vitamin C to be achieved than ever before with an oral formulation. Also by avoiding the cramps, gas and diarrhea of bowel intolerance it permits far higher intakes of oral vitamin C than ever previously achievable even by patients who insist that they are Vitamin C intolerant.

The other ingredients that contribute to this incredibly powerful oral Vitamin C formula are MSM, TMG, Ribose and Bioperine and each of them seem essential to be present in the large amounts in order to get the full benefit of this formula. These amounts have permitted Doctors specializing in IV vitamin C to MAINTAIN high levels of Vitamin C between IV's and thus to get patients with serious conditions well far faster and more cost effectively. In fact, they always take at least 1/4 of the dose being giving intravenously concurrently during the IV with this oral product consumed slowly, and some are taking more than 1/2 what the IV dose is. This means if the IV dose it 60 gm some are taking 7-8 tsp to get the 28-32 GRAMS of Beyond C by using it particularly in very wet water, PENTA is my choice. They are thus getting Vitamin C into the body two ways and achieving the desired goal of higher blood levels without having to try to give even more intravenously, which is not simple to put in as rapidly as Dr. Riordan's research has indicated was essential to reach the desired blood concentrations he needed for some of his sick patients.

There is so much more I need to share about Lupus but time does not permit. It may be that a 3 party consultation with you and the patient with me on the phone with the records being sent to me in advance to review would lead to more complete approach to your patient's problem.
