Blood Viscosity Testing

Dear Gary,

I just received the test process from Thrombocure and as far as I can see they are quite steep and appear to be even more than the fee structure of Hemex Lab. I thought you said they were less expensive?

Why would 2 patients who had normal Rheologics tests have elevated lipoprotein a, homocysteine and fibrinogen results. This is a quandary for me since the Rheologics test is supposed to measure blood viscosity and yet these patients both had three factors associated with increased viscosity. Should I assume that even though their Rheologics test was normal that the abnormal test results should be disregarded?

I would appreciate your response to my dilemma!

Dear Doctor:
I have great respect for David Berg at Hemex and he taught me to understand the blood viscosity INFECTION connection. I was brought, however, to respect Rodger Bick MD PHD as he has the credentials, edits the journal of Thrombosis and Hemostasis, and writes the current MEDICAL TEXTBOOK on the subject. There have been other occasions when there is a discrepancy between the labs and I will have to leave it to you to figure what is correct. Both Labs have a lot to offer; however, when all is NORMAL at Hemex, there is NO fee to consult at any time with Dr. Bick, and this gives YOU some LEGAL protection. Since the decisions, at times, MAY be LIFE AND DEATH, the final decision must be yours.

I knew from the first time that I used Thrombocare that this lab was more expensive, so I have chosen on several occasions to take advantage of the FREE consultation they will provide. I've asked Dr. Bick what tests to start with in particular clinical situations, and when that came up empty, he has recommended additional tests, some not performed elsewhere, that have provided the answers.

He is interested and has started working with Dr. Kensey of Rheologics but these tests will not replace each other, they are not that directly related. After all if, as our research to date has shown, Beyond Chelation-Improved drops AVERAGE viscosity by 30%, it will be VERY HARD to die of a heart attack or a stroke. Nonetheless, we would never claim that we have CURED the underlying Protein C or Protein S or sticky platelet syndrome etc. that in many cases may be genetic. Those conditions the patient still has but we have effectively masked the condition so that it need not contribute to the 1.9 MILLION blood clots associated deaths we see annually, but they should still be expected to have the condition. Many of the conditions Hemex or Thrombocare detect with their SPECIFIC TESTS since RHEOLOGICS is only testing NON-specifically. I hope that helps.

Sincerely,
Garry F. Gordon, MD,DO,MD(H)
